The confluence featured here today is where Easter Creek and Killik River unite in a beautiful display in Alaska, United States. The Killik River is a 169-kilometre tributary of the Colville River that flows through the Gates of the Arctic National Park, eventually emptying into the Arctic Ocean. The river is known for its pristine wilderness, abundant wildlife and excellent fishing opportunities, particularly for species like salmon and Arctic grayling. With increasing threats such as pollution, habitat destruction and overuse, it"s more important than ever to advocate for the protection of our waterways.
