Norddorf is a small village—one of the oldest—located on the island of Amrum, off Germany"s northern coast. Amrum has numerous other fishing villages, like Norddorf, and is home to around 2,300 inhabitants. Nestled amidst the stunning natural beauty of the North Sea coast, Norddorf is known for its strong maritime heritage. Museums and lighthouses offer a glimpse into the island"s past. Tourists can also explore the unique wildlife of the Naturschutzgebiet Amrumer Dünen (Amrum Dunes Nature Reserve), home to various bird species, like the red knot and brent goose, and plants, like common sundew and ragged robin.
